Wow! What a week! - June 2

Wow what a great week! Really it was such a great week filled with so much of the spirit!! This week we had stake conference and we had the privilege to listen to Elder Spannaus of the 70!! It was so good!! Really so so so good.  I learned so much and I have so much more of a fire to get out in the "field" and work! Really we are so blessed to has so many wonderful leaders of the church that are called of God and that we can listen to them and they can speak the word of God! Also we listened to our president and it was so good he talked about the privilege that we have to have the Book of Mormon in our hands! Really and it was so good! We have the word of God another witness of Jesus Christ! Another book that we can learn of God! It doesn't mean that it replaces the bible it is just a complement of the bible! I have learned here in the mission that really we need both of them to be able to really understand the doctrine of Christ! really we do have this privilege!! so are we using this privilege or it just sitting on the table looking pretty?? You guys!! You don't understand what we have! We have the light that so many people are looking for! We have the other witness that Jesus is the Christ, we have the fullness of the Gospel!!!! We need to share it with everyone! Really ... words can't say enough!! Really te amo este libro!! I LOVE THIS BOOK!! It has changed my life! I regret everyday before my mission that I didn't read it! And I know that I will never go another day without reading it!! Also Elder Spannaus talked about the power of repentance and that we are so blessed to be able to feel free of a load that we possibly have had on our backs for years! He told us about a story when he was serving the mission that he had a intravista with a sister that has had a sin really big and that the light that was in her eyes after she was able to feel this load taken off of her shoulders that had been there for over 50 years and that before she never knew that she could ever have been forgiven.. can you imagine that... sometimes I think that we take it lightly - also we have this wonderful knowledge and what are we doing with it.. are we sharing the wonderful joy that we have.. or is this also sitting on the table... sorry if this card is a little strait forward... but I can't contain it!! Haha the blessings that I have are HUGE and I want everyone to be able to feel this love!! I invite all of you to take some time and really think about how you can share the message.. how you can make a difference... how you can help the people of the world know this wonderful message that we have!! GO OUT AND SHARE IT!"!!!!

Well i will be truthful with you all... haha working in the city is really hard because we don't have many investigators but we are looking and looking!! ...and looking a little bit more! But this week we found one!! And she is great! We decided to look for investigators though the less actives and we felt that we would have success and really we did! Her name is Melina! She is great, she is the girlfriend of one of the members and she is going to have a baby they are working on everything so that they can get married and right now she is super interested in the church! She went to church the other week and we talked about the scriptures and after we were talking and she said there is a book that you guys have that I would like to read. We pulled out a couple of books and when we pulled out the Book of Mormon she said THAT BOOK!!! I want to know more about that book! It was a really great experience! We are blessed to have her! really and after we were talking with the mom of her boyfriend. She is a member.. the mom.. she said that she has been praying for weeks that something could touch her heart and that she would want to know more about the gospel! After she told us that we are her angels! It was really a wonderful experience!! I am excited that she is interested and hoping that their papers can be finished super fast so that they can get married and that she can be bauptized!! 

Well I hope that you all can have a good week and can really ponder on what you will do to be able to share this message with everyone!! Share the Gospel and you will not believe the blessings that you will receive!!

Hola!! - May 26

Don't worry you should all get photos today!! I am so sorry!! But how is everything??? I hope all is well with everyone of you!! This week has been super.... haha not so crazy! My comp has knee problems so everyday for like 2 hours we are in el centro in physical therapy! But hey that's how the work is sometimes!! The thing that I have learned this week most of all is that I LOVE THE BOOK OF MORMON!! And the power of fasting! It has been hard because I haven't felt like we have been able to work a lot and really it is all I want to do so I fasted this week and you won't believe the help that I have been given!!! Really it is amazing what the Lord will do for us when we will take the time to fast!! Today as I was studying the only thing that I could do was receive revelation!! Haha it was super good and I feel great and I am super excited to be able to work and work and work some more this week!! I am super sorry that the letter is going to be short this week but I think that you all will like to get lots of pictures!!! But this week we were able to contact a family of 8 we are excited to start teaching them and hopefully they will all be able to see the truth that they have in there hands!! But really I love this work- yes it is so hard! But I love serving the Lord! Hope you all like the photos! And that your weeks can be great!!! Once again sorry for the short letter but it takes a lot of time to send photos and I want to be able to send a lot!!!

Another week down! - May 19

I know that I say this just about every week but I really can't believe that once again a week has flown by!!! But this week has been super good!!! We were able to have a lot of lessons with a lot of people.  We don't have many real investigators but we are looking and looking and I know that we will find them because this is the Lord's work!! We have been working with a part member family and this week we found out that both of the kids that aren't members would like to be bautized so we are going to focus on them a lot this week!! Really it was so great because we where sitting in their house and one of the sisters said to us that they wanted to be bautized!! they both have a couple of things that they need to work on but we are going to help them and I am super excited!! Also haha I found out this week that I have the roots of a Latina... haha I am now acting and teaching like them!! Haha they are so so so straight forward with people like you will never believe some of the things that they say to people sometimes and this week I did just that... We were in a lesson and I asked the invest if she would join us in church this week and she said that she really didn't want to.. just because it is like an inconvenience and that it isn't all that important... well don't worry I looked her right in the eye and said how would you feel if you said that to Jesus Christ.. remember that this is his church and how do you think he feels when you say that it isn't important for you to go to church and be in his house.. lets just say I was shocked by my words and then also she was pretty shocked... haha it was great!! And super funny!!! Well she didn't do anything and wasn't in church this week but don't worry these things don't bug people here they are just chill!! haha it was really quite funny!! 

Well with hna guerrero she is so great!!! Really I love her so much!! We have so much fun together!! And it is great to be able to have a comp that just loves to work and do the work of the Lord!! She is 21 and has 11 months in the mission almost a year!! She served for 4 months in Mexico! Every area that she has worked in she has opened!!! Haha me too! Only two but hey I have opened  both of them!! And really I love working with her and it is just super easy we get along great!! And she is helping me with my Spanish a lot!! 

Today has been a great p-day we went to Salta central!!! OH I LOVE IT!! WE WENT TO THE MALL I was in paradise!! Haha and we ate at Subway! It was sooo good!! Haha finally some good food. Haha joking but really it was super good also we went to the mission offices and bought something. And then went to the doctor for my comp. she has a lot of knee problems... I feel bad because she is in pain a lot of the time!! And it was fun because we were with hna Levrino! And oh my I love her so much!! She is so great!! Really I am going to miss her! Haha she was super chill and helping us!! And she went inside of a building for a minute and we were in her car.. with 4 sisters and she left the keys in the car.. haha she came back and she looked at me and said hna I thought that you were going to steal my car!! Haha and really I wanted to just take it for a quick spin.. of course I would never do it but I do miss driving!! It was funny!! 

Then we started talking and she looked at me and asked me how long I had in the mission and I said 7 months and she said that my Spanish is great and that I am talking super fast like a Latina!! Haha and she said that I am super lucky that I have only had Latinos for comp. haha really I am!! I am truely blessed!! 

Also this week we has conferencia de zona con presidente!! It was so so so so good as always!! And they both said goodbye and we saw photos of the mission and then photos of our new presidente! It was really good but super sad.. lets just say it was my day... haha but also hna pari my mom is in my zone and she goes home this transfer so she shared her testimony!! It was good!! 

Really the work is so different in Salta because yes it is super hard to talk with the people kasi nunca podemos hablar... oh my sorry we cant like ever talk with anyone because they just don't want to talk.. it is hard but we are looking and we know that we will find them!! 

Really i am doing great I LOVE THIS WORK!!! So much it is the best thing that I have ever done!! I hope all is well with everyone and that you are all reading Preach My Gospel!! Haha and Book of Mormon!! I love this work I can't say it enough I love serving and I am so grateful to be here!!

Wow what a week! - May 12

Wow this week has been so different but great!! Lets just say that working in the city is a lot different!! Haha it is a good thing that I love my comp, the ward is AMAZING!!! And that Salta is super pretty because if not.. wow this could be really hard!!! The work here really is just so different!! But so great!! Right now we don't have any investigators but are looking in every way possible!!! We have a couple people of part member families that we are working with and there is a TON of less actives to work with! But really the work is great just very different!! It is different to knock on the door and all you say is "somos" (we) and the door is slammed in your face... but hey it is the life a a missionary!!! But really all is well!! I love working here!!! The members are SO GREAT!! Haha which is amazing our bishop is super great and will to work! And the best part of all is that our mission leader is incredible!! He was just released as president of the stake so he is willing to work and put everything into the work!! We ALWAYS have a member with us! And we don't even need to look and call them they call us!! Haha it is super nice!! The area is something super different it is super small (well for our mission) it is only like one city! Really I have learned so much this week! The thing that I have learned most is how much I LOVE the Book of Mormon! Really I thought I had a testimony of it before... but wow how things have changed now! Really I love it so much!! I was always reading in English because sometimes it is really hard for me to understand in English but I chose the other day to put President Hinckley's promise in action and I started reading only in Spanish... and my whole life has changed.. Haha I can understand it almost perfect and it is actually better because I have to really read it to understand!! And it really has changed to way that I study so much!! I am so excited every morning to wake up and read more and more!! Haha!! I am in Helamen and I am just so excited to get to 3 nefi!! haha (nephi) yes I kind of know how to spell... that is how it is spelled in spanish!!) I hope that you all are reading your Preach My Gospel books like Elder Ballard said!!!! If not get to it! It is a wonderful book inspired by God!!! My comp. is GREAT!!! We get along so well! Haha I am excited everyday to work with her! She is a great missionary and such a fun person! So easy to get along with!! She is from Mexico! Another Latina! Haha I am going for the whole mission Latina style!!! She has just under one year in the mission! And had opened every area that she has been in! Poor girl! It is hard to open up areas!! But really we can see the hand of the Lord! Now that I think about it I also have opened both areas as the first sisters ever! Everyone in the streets calls us elders sometimes elderas! Haha it is funny and none of the members what to saludarnos,, (the people here kiss one the cheek to say hello) and they all just give us there hands because they are used to the elders!!! But really I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for us here!! It should be great! And super fun!! An adventure for sure!!! But all is well here in Salta!! This week we have conferencia con presidente!!! Should be great!! Oh also I don't know if you all remember I think not - But I was with a sister all of my time in Perico she was living with us hna musmano!! We entered the same day in the mission but now we are in the same district haha our whole missions together!! Haha but I love her!! And also my Mommy hna pari is in our zone!! Haha last week when I got to Salta she was in the terminal and we both started crying when we saw each other!! Haha I miss that lady!! She was a wonderful mission mom!! Hola Familia!! - April 28 & May 5

APRIL 28-
Como están?? Oh my this week we had two bautismos it was so good!!! It was a day really hard because just about everything went wrong but in the end we had both of the bautismos!!! It was super amazing and we had a ton of support from the ward!! There were 42 people at the bautism.. it was so good!! It was a great feeling because the 2 people that were bautized are a couple!! And they are so great and golden!!!! And we are hoping and praying that they will have the chance to be able to go to the temple!! The best part is that they are the aunt and uncle to our other bautismo I don't know if I have told you all this but sorry if I have... but it was really cool to be able to see them in there white clothes!! And to top it all off Carlos the less active that we have been working so hard with was able to bautize them!!! IT WAS SO GOOD!!! Really I was so happy and I am so proud of the change that he has made and the wonderful person that he has become!!! It really does a heart good... hahahah to be able to see 3 people that you have prayed so much about and wanted so much for them in white in the font!!! Really it was such a great thing that I will never and can never forget!!!!!! 

Also we had interviews with presidente!! It was so good to be able to talk with him and receive such great advise!! He has helped me and shaped me into the missionary that I am today!!! He is such a wise man that is literally called of God!!! I am so blessed to be able to speak with him and receive his revelations for this mission!! 

Also I had to give a talk this week in church and it was so good!!! I am really blessed to have been able to learn so much and feel the spirit just flow though me while I am talking. I am not scared to talk with anyone anymore!!! Really I have been so blessed here in the mission!!! 

Something that I have learned this week is that prayer is the most powerful thing that we can do!! Really my relationship with my Heavenly Father has grown so much this week and I am so blessed to be able to have him always there for me!! Never forget that really he is always there for you also!! Our Heavenly Father loves us more then anything and he will always be there for us when we call and he will ALWAYS send help when we need it!!! 

Thank yo all so much for the blessings and comfort that I have received and am receiving from you!!! 

This Church is true!! I know it with all of my heart!! I LOVE SERVING THE LORD!! Even though it has ups and downs!! This work is the hardest thing that I have ever done but I have learned so much and would never change my decision for the world!!!

May 5- 

First of all it was SOO great to be able to talk with all of you guys! And to see those cute nephews of mine made my whole life!!! This last week has been a crazy one!! Saying goodbyes, talking with the family, teaching like crazy, and then to top it all off.........I AM NOW IN SALTA!!! I got a transfer! I am with another Latina!! But she is so great her name is hermana gerrero!! She is from Mexcio! And we are going to open an area! Oh my que miedo!!!! (how scary)!!! Haha but it will be so interesting!! I am so excited to be able to work so hard and to be able to work in unity with my comp! She is really great! Well lets be real  have know her for all of like 5 hours but... SHE SEEMS GREAT!!! haha yesterday was one of the most emotional days of my life! really it was so great to see all of the family but also weird and hard but then after i had to say goodbye to some of the most speacial people that i have ever met in my life.. really transfers are not all that fun!!! when i got the call i felt at peace that  i knew that i had done everything that i could do in perico and that i was needed in a differnt place!!! it was a very differnt feeling but it was nice to be able to feel this peace!!! the people of perico will always have a HUGE PART OF MY HEART!!! i am so sorry that i cant really write all that much today but don't worry i am sure that i will have a lot to say next week!! haha i am opening an area!! but i hope that all is well! and i will talk with you next week!! 

Wow what a week! - April 21

Wow haha like always I can't believe that it has been another week!!! But wow this week has been so good!! I am so happy because this weekend we are going to have two bautismos!!!! They are both so great!! It is a married couple! There names are Maria y Rene!! They both have such HUGE testimonios about the Book of Mormon and just want to be buaptized right now!! I am so happy haha I hope you all can tell!! But really it is so good!! We have worked a  lot with them and it had been so amazing to just see the spirit and light of Christ enter into there eyes!! It is really cool because they are both two people that me and hermana Pari contacted so they are really invest. of my work!!! It is so great! I am so excited for them and their potential and what they will do in the church!! This week I have learned so much! Really words can't explain!! I am so happy for what we have been able to do!! Maria y Rene are the aunt and uncle to our other bauptism Miceala! So it is really cool that they will all be able to go to church together and see the change in there lives! Something amazing about they is that I have learned about the need for the timing of the Lord!! Because they both listened to the elders antes but they weren't ready for it.. it wasn't their time!! Really it was so good! Because it was like years ago that they listened but the Lord has his timing and it is NOW!!! 

Also Alex and Carlos(less actives) are doing so great!!! I am so happy!! I really do love them so much! It is crazy how much you can care for someone and their salvation! But here in the mission it is really the only thing that I want for them!! I just want them to be able to see there potential and just grow!! They are both right now taking mission prep classes and both want to serve!! It really is something so lindo (pretty) haha they word is much better in español!! They are doing so well!! I am just content right now! I love this work more then anything in the world! 

Our mission is super focused right now on contacting every person in the streets and it has helped me so much with my spanish! I really do believe in the gift of tongues! (haha i think that is how it is spelled...) I can't understand everything right now! And I am so blessed! I can teach all of the lessons- of course it is super hard but it is only through the spirit that I can do it!! I am so blessed here in the mission words can't describe! 

I am most excited this week for our bautismos! Because really they are miracles! And I am so blessed to be a part of there conversion!!! 

Thank you all for the blessing and prayers! Really I can feel them all so much and so strong!! This week is going to be a good one!! And I am excited to tell you all about it!!

HOLA!! - April 14

Wow I can't believe how fast the time goes by here in the mission!! 6 months down.. 12 to go! Wow how times flies!!! Well this week was really good!! We had a lot to do and we worked really hard we improved our numbers so I am feeling a lot better and I don't have the elders down my back.. haha some time it is hard to be the only one that knows the area!! But it is good I feel really good that I can direct an area with 6 months and being an American It doesn't happen much!! This week we had intercamibos with the hermanas lideres and it was really good I went to the other area and my comp... well she doesn't know much about the area and I hope finally she will start trying harder to learn because it is almost certain that I will be leaving in the next transfers so this area will be all hers! She was frustrated because she doesn't know.. but she will learn! I hope.. this area has my heart!! Mom and dad I am so excited for you to be able to meet the people here in Perico!!! I love the people here!! they are so great!! 

During the intercambios I was with the other leader her name is hermana brown she is great! And lives in Utah!! Super fun! We had a great day and worked so hard!! Seriously we had 11 lessons!!! It was crazy!! I love teaching it is such a great thing!! 

My favorite part of this week is that we had 4 invest. in the church!! It was really good! Two of them have dates for their bauptism!! I am so excited they are so great!! We had a lesson with them yesterday and they both said that they know and feel like this is the thing that they need to do!! It was such a good lesson!! Really it is great they are a couple and are MARRIED they best part sometimes that is the hard part..and they really want to change!! I pray for them so much every night that they will receive their answers and can really be bauptized! 

Carlos is doing really good! He is changing so much!! He goes on visits with us every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday! It is really good! 

My comp.. well she is really good it is just different she is a little trunky so I feel like I am doing everything and I sometimes do like it but we are working and I am doing everything to help her be obedient! Because it is all that I want because through our obedience.. (couldn't spell before... now it is worse i just want to always speak with you in Spanish mas facil) Haha we will see the blessing and miracles of the Lord!! 

Sorry my letter is short this week but I am getting to talk with my Mom and my cousin Melissa (e-mail back and forth) so they are taking up a lot of my time.. haha 

But I do love serving it is the best thing that I have ever chosen to do!! I never want to leave I love Argentina!! It is such a wonderful blessing that I have been given to serve the Lord!!! Hope that you all are studying Preach My Gospel!!! predicad mi evangelio!!!
