haha well it looks like i have hit the point in the mission when everyone forgets about you... even your family!! not one single letter in the mailbox.. how sad! haha hope that changes next week! i did hear that you will hit the point in the mission that everyone will start to forget about you... haha just kidding but really i would love to hear for you all!! this week has been good! Filled with a lot of experiences that i will never forget! haha this week have actually been quite hard! alot of doors slammed in the face but hey you just keep going!! on Wednesday we had 4 appointments in the morning! so we were excited! we got everything planned and then... well lets just say that by 11:00 all of our plans had fallen though! haha and we leave the house at 10:30! but hey it was good! we decided to knock on some doors to try to find some people to teach and nothing happened.. it was hard we knocked for about 2 hours and NO ONE opened the door!! we got kind of bummed and sat down to say a pray of what to do. and my comp. said that pray! after she said you know what i feel really good! i know that we are trying and it is the people that don't want to listen! and we both realized that everyone has the choice to listen or not and then we just have to keep going even when it is hard! and it was really good because really we both felt good after the pray we both felt at peace and knew that we were trying but the people didn't want to listen and is wasn't our fault!! it is something really big that i have been able to learn this week!! we just keep working and trying to find the people! even when they don't want it!
we have been working a lot with the less actives of the ward and it has been really good! we went on a visit yesterday and it was open of the most powerful visits that i have ever been on! the spirit was so strong! really so strong! this family is a family of like 15 people! haha really i don't know but there are a ton of kids!! and they have been less active for about 3 years! we headed to there house yesterday and we ended up talking to the mom and dad! the dad just recently lost his job so he has been pretty bummed but he turned to his scriptures and he has gained such a big testimony! really it has been so great! we talked with them and told them the blessing that they will receive when they are following the commandments and we read in Mosiah 2:41! and the spirit was so strong!! it was great! he really understood the scripture! and after i asked him a question. if he really believed that he could receive all of the blessings that are promised in this verse! and he said i think so! so then i shared with him D&C 82:10! and his face just lit up! he said to me that he knew that god would bless him and that they are going to but there faith in him and see what they can receive! really it was a great lesson!!
something that i have learned in this mission is the power of pray!! i have been studying a lot about pray to be able to have a better relationship with my heavenly father and really it has been so wonderful the amazing blessing that i have been given! me and my comp just feel so blessed right now! haha and it is funny because we don't have all that many people that we are teaching but we both know that we are trying our best and the lord will lead us to the people that are ready!!
haha i think that i write this just about every week but i love reading the Book of Mormon!! really it is so powerful! i am excited because i am just about to finish it! and haha i cant wait to start if over to be able to just read it and read it again! but I KNOW THAT THIS BOOK IS THE WORD OF GOD!!! really we are so blessed to have it!!
thank you all for everything you do for me! mostly all of the letters i am getting...;)
talk with you all soon!! god be with you until we talk again next week!
